Just like most other musicians in Uganda, the ‘Ebyalagirwa’ singer John Blaq has come out and showed that he has spent a long while off stage minus entertaining his fans, a thing that he misses dearly.
He revealed this during a recent interview with 97.7 Record FM. It should be remembered that musical shows were suspended in April last year across the country on the verge of preventing further spread of the coronavirus.
“It has been a challenge to sail through the pandemic time. We were used to being on stage, singing for our people as they gave us some money. As you know in the Ugandan Entertainment industry, we mostly get money from shows and concerts but we have so far taken a year and months minus working,” John Blaq expressed.
However, he is still thankful to the Almighty God who above all, has kept him and fellow artists alive noting that they moreover need the people they sing for, alive.
John Blaq is one of the musicians in the country whose musical journey can fairly be described as one that progressed swiftly. From when he surfaced in the industry up to the wake of the pandemic, he was a face that nearly appeared on every music-related poster. This justifies his feelings.
