2024 Women Entrepreneurship Celebrations Set for July 5th

Kampala, May 8th, 2024 – The Ideation Corner Foundation has officially launched the annual Women Entrepreneurship Celebrations, culminating in a major event in Kampala on July 5th, 2024.
Organized in collaboration with HiPipo and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organisation (WEDO), these celebrations honour outstanding women entrepreneurs driving Uganda’s transformation. They provide young innovators with a unique opportunity to network with established entrepreneurs and celebrate women’s achievements in business.
The inaugural celebration was held in 2021 at the Stanbic Business Incubator, Kololo, with 25 women entrepreneurs in attendance. The second edition, themed around a dinner, took place on December 17th, 2022, at Kampala Serena Hotel, attracting 50 women entrepreneurs who pitched their businesses, shared experiences, and celebrated each other’s successes.
Ambassador Damali Ssali, Founder of Ideation Corner, stated, “Over the past five years, Ideation Corner has supported Uganda and Africa’s entrepreneurship success by nurturing young entrepreneurs, offering business development skills, and featuring visionaries in our inaugural Ideation Corner book.”
She continued, “The Women Entrepreneurship Celebrations aim to acknowledge and appreciate women’s contributions, celebrate their milestones, and provide them with the encouragement to continue their transformative journey.”
Building on the success of the previous editions, the third Women Entrepreneurship Celebrations will be held on July 5th, 2024, covering the missed celebration in 2023. Besides the main event, the 2024 celebrations will feature virtual and physical activities involving women entrepreneurs, project partners, and supporters.
