2023 DIGITAL IMPACT AWARDS AFRICA NOMINATIONS KICK OFF: Celebrating a Decade of Digital Excellence

The Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA), a prestigious platform dedicated to recognizing and celebrating African innovation in digital technology, financial inclusion, and cybersecurity advancement, has officially kicked off its 2023 nominations. As the DIAA prepares to mark a decade of transformative impact, the call for nominations signals the beginning of a journey towards recognizing and celebrating the trailblazers shaping Africa’s digital landscape.

Since its inception in 2014, the DIAA has risen above expectations, defying sceptics who questioned its long-term sustainability. Instead, it has solidified its position as a leading force propelling digital and financial inclusion in Africa. HiPipo’s CEO, Innocent Kawooya, expressed pride in the DIAA’s achievements while acknowledging the challenges ahead. He stated, “Our vision to contribute significantly to Africa’s digital and financial inclusion journey has come to life over the past decade. We are committed to scaling new heights and achieving universal digital inclusion.”

The 10th edition of the Digital Impact Awards Africa will be held on November 17th, 2023, at Kampala Serena Hotel, coinciding with the annual Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit. The summit will gather hundreds of delegates, including C-Level executives, policymakers, young entrepreneurs, and innovators in the digital and financial inclusion ecosystem. It will explore strategic trends, cybersecurity, and the recovery of businesses from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the awards, HiPipo is inviting submissions in various categories, recognizing excellence in Financial Inclusion, Digital Banking, Fintech Innovation, CEO of the Year, and many more. The submission process will run until October 10th, 2023, followed by public voting from October 17th to November 17th. The awards ceremony will feature a comprehensive list of nominees, Jury assessments, and public voting.
