The Retro Records artist, Victor Wajja alias Victor Ruz is one of the artists that have reaped finely from their daily sweat and with just a short while in active music, has a thing to cast an eye onto as for prosperity ― a recording studio.
Just recently, before the lockdown was imposed, the Kikomando singer, 21, confirmed the ripening and achievement of one of his great aspirations. This is the ‘Retro Records,’ a recording studio located a few meters off Entebbe road in Nyanama.
Ruz intimated to Record FM that the studio is up and running much as the impact of COVID-19 (Lockdown) is disturbing at the same time. He said that most of his songs will oftentimes be recorded thereat.
“The studio is working but the presence of COVID-19 is quite troubling. However, I can’t talk about the amount of money it cost me to put up the whole project. Though, I only work on my songs as a producer and will be recording most of these songs from here,” Ruz revealed.
Initially, Ruz revealed that the money used to see the completion of his studio was that collected during his High School performances noting that he has surfaced on the professional music scene for a minute time.
He joins a queue of other artists who too, after years of sweat and realisation of the importance of their money, invested in having a studio of their own risen up. These include Khalifah Aganaga, Geo Steady, Bebe Cool, Daddy Andre, Ykee Benda among other Artists.
Ruz has also signed mega contracts with Telecommunications Companies of MTN and Airtel for the Caller Tunes promotion on his songs and an ambassadorial role at Dalausi Fruit Juice.
