The Universal Church through Universal in Police Force Volunteers (UPFV) has visited the Mukono Chief Magistrate Courts on a verge of fulfilling the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ.
‘And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” ― Mark 16:15.
The UPFV Spokesperson, Pastor Zennen Kaluwapa revealed to Record FM that the message given aligned with the word in the book of Proverbs 23:23 that talks about some people who were distracted and sold the truth. This was on Monday October 18.
“God has vested and bestowed His powers upon us to serve our nation and we can only serve Him better through our community better if we obey Him and we listen to one another, buy the truth and not sell it,” a citation of the scriptures.
The Mukono Chief Magistrate, HW Benson Semondo, was gratified upon reception of this message and acknowledged that he had never received such a message ever since he served in the Judiciary.
“I have served in Judiciary for more than 20 years now, but we had never received such (the word of God). Proverb 23:23 , ‘Buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding,” said HW Semondo.
Muinda Tadeo, the Mukono Grade One Magistrate requested the Church to at least visit their chambers twice a month because it was a blessing which they need to receive oftentimes.
Pastor Kaluwapa noted that as a church, they would always avail themselves to share the word of God and revealed that they also reach out to various police stations within Kampala, Fire brigades and the Uganda Police Defence Forces (UPDF).
Besides this, the Universal Church has since helped communities in and outside Kampala, with essential items as part of their initiatives to reach out to the people in need.
One of the most recent donations was done in September through giving out items like masks, liquid soaps, toiletries which were handed over to the Mukono Police Division Officer-in-charge, Michel Wandulu.
