New Details Emerge On Kasubi Women Murders.

Kobil petrol station in Nakulabye has shared Closed Circuit Television –CCTV footage showing Musa Musasizi, the prime suspect in Kasubi women murders, buying fuel he allegedly used to burn their bodies.

Four women identified as Viola Kansiime, Noreen Nabirye, Mclean Ahereza and Elizabeth Mutesi were killed and burnt on four separate days. Kansiime, Mutesi and Nabirye were burnt in Kasubi near Buganda royal tombs while Ahereza’s body was burnt in Nateete.

Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga has said that CCTV footage obtained from Kobil clearly shows Musasizi buying fuel he used to burn victims’ bodies. Apart from Kobil footage, security cameras also captured him buying empty plastic bottles which he put inside sacks where he wrapped the bodies before pouring fuel on them.

Musasizi confessed to Crime Intelligence, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence –CMI, Police and detectives that he killed all the women and a three months old baby. Musasizi picked all the women from Makerere Kivuulu and strangled them after having sexual intercourse with them at his rented house in Nakulabye.

Ahereza was the first victim who he started dating when she was three months pregnant. At the time, she had been dumped by her boyfriend. Musasizi in his statement with detectives which he has also recorded before a Magistrate says he killed Ahereza after suspecting her for being in a relationship with other men.

“I also killed Ahereza’s baby. I stuffed the baby’s body in a laptop bag and I dumped it near Bativa hotel. I enjoyed killing these women after having sex with them. It was interesting seeing them fighting to keep their life,” Musasizi is quoted by detective in his statement.

The suspect has recorded statements for each of the victims. Mutesi was killed for wanting more money after he had paid her 50,000 shillings. Nabirye was killed after she received a phone call from a person saved as Baby Boy.

Psychiatrists and surgeons have found Musasizi to be of sound mind. This means he committed the crime when he was in his normal senses. Besides, security agencies say he has very consistent in narrating events that led to his victims’ murders.
