Written by on August 2, 2022

The Uganda Meteorology Authority has warned Ugandans that throughout this month (August) different parts of the country will receive persistent rainfalls.

These say that the rains are more likely to be extraordinary in Eastern part of the country, Northern Uganda and Midwest.

Farmers have been advised to grow water resistant crops currently, and those in the southern part of the country should prepare their gardens for upcoming rains.

In the light of expected rains, veterinary doctors have cautioned farmers to take extra care as more disease may attack animals as temperatures go down which favors pests, vectors and other disease causing organisms to survive longer.

The Uganda Meteorology Authority predictions come at a time when Over the weekend endless rains led to the burst of River Nabuyonga in Mbale causing floods that killed over 20 people, animals and destroying property.

The catastrophy extend to Sebei, Bukedea and Kapchwora regions where more people lost their lives.
