Media Should be Included On COVID-19 Vaccine Priority List – NAB

The National Association Of Broadcasters(NAB) has written to the prime minister asking him to have the press including on the priority list to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a letter signed by the association chairperson Kin Kariisa, it is brought to the Prime Minister’s attention that just like other frontline people like medical personnel,  teachers, security among others that are equally exposed to the risk of catching the virus.

“As you are aware that journalists are frontline workers who interface with government officials, the private sector, and the general public in their day-to-day interactions, something that poses a high risk of exposure to infections. ” reads part of the document that requests the government to consider the media among the priority groups so as to foster their continuation of services without any risks.

We wait to hear government’s position on the request.
