Many Artists Know God! Don’t Be Confused By Their Hairstyles or Clothes. – Pastor Bugembe

It is a human natural definition that most people are judged by their outer looks. Back to Africa for example, some musical artists and celebrities mostly fall victims of this.
Relatedly, when Pastor Wilson Bugembe initiated the Celebrity Sunday, a moment that sees celebrities share their life stories before the congregation at Light the World Church in Nansana, many criticized and still criticize the nature of people he hosts claiming it’s unrighteous.
Initially, when he birthed the whole idea and took a step to sell it to other churches, he was instead branded an artist that identified and hanged out with ‘hooligans’ as many define artists for.
However, asked about what he thinks of this reasoning during a recent interview with 97.7 Record FM, Bugembe said that people ought not to judge others by their outside appearances.
“Most of these celebrities have different religious backgrounds. One will tell you that, my mother is born again, my uncle is the same, my dad prays for me, and all that. So, most of them have God’s seed within them. So you shouldn’t be confused by their coloured hairstyles and the clothes they wear,” Bugembe revealed.
Since some people question the nature of this service (Celebrity Sunday), the ‘Omwooyo‘ singer said that his prayer is to see the seeds he has planted in the celebrities germinate.
“Those who don’t find unrighteousness in what I do, more so those in church, I pray that the seeds we have sown in these peoples’ lives grow up one day. Because the day a farmer sows is not the exact day he reaps. Even a born again who sits in church now, they have someone that shared with them the word of God for them to change,” Bugembe noted.
Furthermore, Bugembe noted that severally some people have always challenged him asking whether the lives of the people he invites for the Celebrity Sunday ever change. He is not moved by this, more still, he is not the very first one to sow this seed.
He is confident in what he does because the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is love. Anyone and everyone is welcome as how they are. More still, the beauty of this arrangement is that stars (celebrities) show that they equally have a star above them and that is, God.
Since it was started, a number of celebrities have attended this arrangement notably, Bobi Wine, Sophie Gombya, Halima Namakula, Aziz Azion, Maureen Nantume, Denis Katongole, VJ Junior, among others.
The plot seems to have taken a new twist though, as many celebrities turn up at Bugembe’s Nansana-based church every single Sunday both on invitation and voluntarily! Among the frequent congregants is B2C member, Mr.Lee, Singer Lydia Jasmine, Suspekt Leizor, City Tycoon, Lwasa among others.

That written, let’s meditate on 1 Corinthians 1:10 that says, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” And 1 Corinthians 16:14 says, “Let all that you do be done with love.”
