Levixone, Coopy Bly, Nakimera Win Big At Vine Awards 2021!

Written by on July 2, 2021

Gospel singer Grace Nakimera is one of the artists that wore a smile in the Vine Awards that were occasioned on Sunday in a virtual-based prestigious event that streamed across various media platforms including radio and Televisions.

Hosted by Ronnie Habbasa as the emcee, Nakimera walked away with the ‘Song of the Year’ award fuelled by her single, ‘Kabaka Kristo’ that was released in August last year.

Nakimera’s song was nominated in the same category with ‘Who Cares’ by Pr Wilson Bugembe ft Mildred, ‘Kaluulu’ by Cmert Keyz ft Karungi Sheila, ‘No Way Nah’ by Coopy Bly and ‘Celebrate’ by Deborah Beza ft Levixone.

Upon her triumph, Nakimera has told Record FM that her success is not her own making but the grace of God manifested on her life and of course, the endless support rendered by her fans.

“I am humbled and honor God for this success. I didn’t think I would even perform again, be on stage doing what I love most. Stage is my favorite place to be but I didn’t think it would happen again or even getting another award. Going from secular to gospel music is not an easy deed more so, doing good as well this side. Glory be back to God. I can’t say I even did anything because I know for sure that it wasn’t me. This is all God. Before me, besides me, behind me, is God. Truth be told, there is no strategy that I used as Grace. I also thank my fans for being there all this time. There is a long break I took but to see that even after this break people still listen to my music, to God be the glory,” Nakimera said.

She assured her fans that she will keep rocking and doing more music. She revealed that she already has an album she is working on in the studio that stomachs amazing music filled with great messages.

Sam Lucas Lubyogo alias Levixone too, scooped the ‘African Act’ award-winning other four international musicians. These were; Ada Ehi (Nigeria), Limoblaze (Nigeria), Moji Shortbabaa (Kenya) and Deborah Beza (Rwanda).

The recently concluded event was the second Annual Vine Entertainment Awards which are intended to celebrate and reward Christians who are extraordinarily impacting their spheres of influence.

The awards recognise influencers in Media, Business, Entertainment, Education, Family, Leadership and Governance. Some of the performers that graced the event were Coopy Bly, Lyrical Mycheal, Grace Nakimera, Sandra Suubi, Levixone and Barna Birungi.
