Fire Claims Eight-Year Boy In Jinja
Police in Jinja has started investigations into the cause of a fire that killed an eight-year old boy in Wanyama Cell, Bugembe, Jinja District.
According to the police Spokesperson for Kiira Region James Mubi, the incident happened around 1AM last night from the sitting room where the children were sleeping.
Residents acted swiftly to save that family of three children and two adults that was bound to perish in the inferno.
Mubi however says, preliminary investigations show that the fire might have been caused by a charcoal stove that wasn’t left with fire at night.
He however adds that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
