Eddy Kenzo Shuts Sierra Leone Down at Ecofest.

As one of Africa’s artists performing at this year’s Ecofest Sierra Leone show, AFRIMA Award winner and singer, Eddy Kenzo never disappointed

Kenzo was one of the most prominent African artists (musicians and comedians) from 14 nations that performed at the festival’s third edition hosted at the Free Town National Stadium.

Performing on Day 2 of the event that aimed at reuniting Africa’s Entertainment Industry, Kenzo among other songs performed Maria Rosa and Sitya Loss to thousands of revellers that stormed the event’s venue.

Other artists that performed in the two-day event include Rema, Rude Boy, Mr. P, Awilo Longomba, Master KG, Broda Shaggi and Platini P among other acts.

Themed ‘Rejuvenation’ the show was happening again after suspension that was triggered by the pandemic that equally attracted Travel Restrictions.

The debut edition of the ECOFEST was held in November 2018 in Sierra Leone and hosted artists from seven West African countries. The second edition was in 2019 under the theme, ‘Battle of the Storms’ held at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Gambia.

It was organised and promoted by Entertainment guru and the Kabaka Multimedia and Entertainment CEO, Abu Bakarr Turay.

Kenzo’s performance in Free Town came after his most recent success in the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMAs) a week ago.

He had been nominated in the same group with other eight artists that is; Harmonize, Meddy, Nviiri The Storyteller, Rayvanny, Sauti Sol, Bensoul, Darassa and Diamond Platnumz.

He has still secured a nomination in the Janzi Awards as the Best Male Artist of the Year along with Pallaso and Fik Fameica.
