Musician Dre Cali’s Lawyer Jagwe Ibrahim has today asked court for more time to gather evidence and witness statements in the case in which his client is accused of breaching contract filed against him by Wyse Technologies Ltd.
While both parties appearing before the Commercial Division of the High court registrar Nabakooza Flavia, Mr. Jagwe who is supposed to have filed the defense evidence before today instead asked for more days to do so.
The registrar accepted his request and adjourned the matter to February 24, 2022.
Gabriel Ocheng of Opyene and Company Advocates representing Wyse Technologies Ltd said that they filed the witness statements and other evidence that the court has adopted today.
It should be recalled that Wyse Technologies Ltd, Mr. Tumwesigye Denis and Mr. Ssali Willbroad Nathan went to court accusing Katende Andrew Steven alias Dre Cali formerly Drey 23 of breaching a-five-year contract signed in 2018.
These asked court for a whopping UGX. 81,820,000 as compensation for investment, time and mental distress.
