Reinforced Luwero Checkpoint Restored After Previous Attack.

Uganda police in Luwero has restored the Kiwumpa, Luwero traffic police check point along Bombo Road to strengthen observance of road safety guild lines.
The notorious check point was recently removed after the attack on the officers who were manning it in the incident that left a one Ronald Busingye dead due to severe cuts from the attackers and another one injured, two guns were taken.
The Luwero District Police Commander, Living Twazagye said that they decided to bring back the check point with modifications including Five (5) Field Force Unit officers to guard the traffic officers unlike two (2) who were there before and a standby patrol to monitor the road.
